If you’re single and looking for love, the coronavirus pandemic will have had an impact.
Perhaps you’ve fully embraced video dating and socially distanced chats. Maybe you’ve gone full-lockdown and are enjoying the thrill of spending time solo. Or you could be so desperate for the touch of another human that you know full well when this is all over you’ll hook up with any adult with a pulse.
According to Dr Scott Lyons, a top US psychologist currently based in Australia, a unique dating environment has blossomed as a result of COVID-19.
He believes that many Aussies have been using time in lockdown to get on top of personal stuff and evaluate what they’re looking for when it comes to love.
“There will be a boom in relationships that will ‘last the distance’ post-quarantine,” he says. “Australians are more emotionally perceptive of themselves now.
